Safety First: Why Security Will Always Come Before Numbers at Color Craze

In today’s world, we cannot ignore the reality around us. Violence is on the rise, and tragic events—like the shocking murder of Charlie Kirk—remind us that no amount of wishful thinking or surface-level precautions can eliminate danger if events are not serious about security.

Some have asked: Would checking tickets at the door have prevented this kind of violence? The answer is no. Tickets alone are not a safeguard. A ticket doesn’t tell you who someone really is, what their intentions may be, or whether they pose a threat to others. In fact, history shows that attackers often “blend in” just like anyone else until it’s too late.

That’s why at Color Craze, our registration and verification process is not optional—it is our first and most important line of defense. We know it frustrates some people who want an easier path in. We’ve seen the lies, the tantrums, and the smear tactics from those who don’t want to be held accountable. But we will never apologize for choosing the safety of our community over catering to bad actors.

We’d rather host a smaller group of verified, trustworthy attendees than pack out a venue full of strangers where everyone could be a potential target for one unstable individual. Numbers mean nothing if safety is compromised.

As the world changes, so must our approach. Going forward, Color Craze will be implementing even tighter security. This includes:

  • Keeping exact event locations private until it is safe to release them.
  • Pre-screening all ticket holders well in advance.
  • Monitoring for ties to extremist or terrorist groups.
  • Continuing to work closely with our security teams to adapt to new threats.

This may not always be the easy path, but it is the responsible one.

Color Craze is about joy, creativity, and shared experiences—but none of that matters if people don’t feel safe. We promise to always protect our community with vigilance, even when that means making unpopular decisions.

Because at the end of the day, we’d rather be criticized for being too careful than be forced to face the consequences of not being careful enough.

Your safety is our priority. Always.
