At Color Craze, we believe every child deserves a world full of joy, laughter, and safety. That’s why we’ve implemented a mandatory pre-event guardian verification process for every participant under 18. This policy is a core part of our commitment to doing everything in our power to prevent unthinkable crimes—like child trafficking and kidnapping—from having any opportunity at our event.

We’re building more than a color run; we’re creating a sanctuary of fun that is intentionally designed to be safe for every family and unequivocally unwelcoming to anyone who means harm to a child.

Why This Strict Pre-Event Verification Is Non-Negotiable

We wish we didn’t have to implement such rigorous measures. However, our security and vigilance stop individuals attempting to traffic minors and young women through our event. These incidents confirmed our worst fears and reinforced our resolve: we cannot and will not let our event be used as a channel for exploitation.

Because of this very real threat, we have no option but to be strict. Checking documents on event day is too late. That’s why we verify every adult-child relationship during registration. This ensures:

– A Pre-Vetted, Secure Environment: Only approved guardians and their children receive entry credentials. This allows us to create a safety-focused space for families—and only families.
– Strong Deterrence: Requiring legal documentation in advance discourages and deters individuals with malicious intent. Our event will be known as one with zero tolerance for those who prey on children.
– A Smooth, Happy Event Day: This means more time for music, color, and making memories—exactly as it should be.

How Verification Works: What We Require

During online registration for any minor, the registering adult must upload the following:

1. Your Photo ID: A clear photo/scan of your government-issued identification on the adults registration form (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.).
2. Proof of Guardianship: A clear photo/scan of one of the following documents that includes both the child’s name and your name:
– The child’s Birth Certificate
– Court-Appointed Legal Guardianship or Custody Papers
– Official Adoption Documents
– A Notarized Consent Letter from the child’s parent(s) if you are not the legal guardian, which must include a copy of the parent’s photo ID and their contact information.

Our Policy Is Clear and Firm:

– No Verification, No Entry For Minor: A child’s registration is not complete until guardian verification is approved. Unverified registrations will be canceled without refund.
– No Exceptions at the Event: We will not verify documents or issue bibs to unverified minors on event day. This rule is in place to protect every child already approved to participate.
– Your Privacy Matters: All documents are uploaded and stored securely using encrypted systems. All sensitive documents are permanently deleted from our servers within [e.g., 30 days] after the event.
